not that digital stuff either. wallpaper for your walls. here’s a fancy one by london-based chae-young kim (화이팅!) and a simpler ribbed design that i might be tempted to use in our downstairs powder room — the only challenge being that the room doesn’t have a single ninety-degree angle in it.
i am a big fan of the cut paper works, and reproductions thereof, of joe boruchow. i frequently snap photos of his work as it’s posted around town, but was excited to find this piece up in northern liberties — it is very quiltlike!
i’ve not approached boruchow about this exhibit but we’re from the same neighborhood, and i’d love to see the original cut paperwork from which these were derived. (in just the last day i’ve seen this one other places around town). perhaps he would consider joining us! we shall see! do check out his work.
